    What exactly is specialty coffee?

Every Bombastico is a specialty coffee! Specialty coffee is a category of coffee characterized by particularly high quality and distinctive flavors. Compared to conventional coffee, specialty coffee is made from carefully selected beans grown under optimal conditions and usually harvested by hand. These beans undergo rigorous testing, with only the finest specimens receiving the "Specialty" designation. The coffee farmers who cultivate this coffee rely on sustainable farming methods and invest in quality over quantity.

    FAQs

    Frequently asked questions.

What makes Bombastico’s Specialty Coffee so special?

What makes this coffee so special is the variety of aromas. Depending on the origin, processing, and roasting, these can range from fruity and floral to chocolatey and nutty. This allows for a completely new coffee experience that goes far beyond standard coffee and delights true connoisseurs.

Where does Bombastico coffee come from?

The green coffee for almost all of our coffees comes directly from our own farm, "Finca Los Diegos," which we manage together with our partners in Costa Rica. This allows us to guarantee the highest quality and fair, direct trade.

For our "Grand Royal" espresso, we've added more Arabicas from Brazil and spectacular Robusta from Uganda—from great farms that have a similar mindset to us.

Do you support fair trade conditions?

Yes! The origin of our beans is traceable down to the individual batch, and we work directly with everyone involved in the value chain. This way, we not only support the quality of the coffee but also fair trade conditions. From farm to cup, everything from a single source.

Are the workers on the finca treated well?

On the farm, people matter. Six permanent employees and up to 90 seasonal workers – all with fair pay and better accommodations than usual in the industry. Because people who feel comfortable are more likely to pick and produce better coffee. Good working conditions, better quality, excellent coffee. It's that simple.
