A coffee with character and depth - full of natural sweetness, complex fruit aromas and a velvety texture. The Red Catuai is carefully hand-picked on our farm in Costa Rica, sun-dried and processed as a natural to develop its full aroma spectrum.
The micro lot “Vuelta de la Culebra”, where the beans for this coffee come from, is one of the places on the finca where Red Catuai grows best. We also call it our little gem because it is so idyllically surrounded by forests that protect the coffee plants from the wind. This idyllic setting also makes it a popular destination for hikers.
This coffee tastes good as an espresso and as filter coffee. As an espresso,you should definitely also extract a ristretto (double the amount of coffee for a single espresso) and make a cappuccino from it. With a traditional filter machine or a classic pour over (hand filter), you can also impress real connoisseurs with this coffee.
Preparation in the Aeropress is also recommended – we love it.
